Birds

The JPRF is home to a diverse community of birds, including many songbirds, waterfowl, raptors, owls, and more!

We have supported numerous projects focused on different species and bird communities.

Additionally, we have been a location for hummingbird banding for over 10 years.

PhD Candidate student, Sunny Tseng, has compiled songs from many of the bird species detected in the research forest from our grid of autonomous recording units. Visit the online bird song library here!
